Adding Gift Wrap to Your Barnes & Noble Order
Want to make your Barnes & Noble gift truly present-ready? Barnes & Noble offers a gift wrapping service for many items for a small fee of $4.99 per item. Here’s how you can add gift wrap to your chosen presents:
- Add Items to Your Cart: Begin by selecting the perfect Barnes & Noble gifts and adding them to your online shopping cart.
- Proceed to Checkout: Once you’ve finished shopping, start the checkout process.
- Reach the Order Summary: During checkout, you’ll arrive at the “Order Summary” page. Scroll down to the section labeled “Items from Barnes and Noble.”
- Select “Make it a gift?”: For each item you wish to be gift-wrapped, click “Yes” next to the “Make it a gift?” option. This option will only appear if the item is eligible for gift wrapping. Keep in mind that not all items are eligible for this service.
- Apply Gift Wrap: In the pop-up box, check the box next to “Gift Wrap this item for $4.99” to add gift wrapping to that specific item. You’ll need to repeat this step for each item you want gift-wrapped.
Personalize Your Present with a Gift Message
Adding a gift message is a wonderful way to personalize your Barnes & Noble gift. The best part? Barnes & Noble allows you to include a Free Gift Message of up to 250 characters with your order. You can even add a gift message to items that are not gift-wrapped.
- Gift-Wrapped Items: For gifts that are gift-wrapped, your message will be printed on a charming gift tag that is attached to the present.
- Non-Gift-Wrapped Items: If you choose not to gift-wrap, your thoughtful message will appear on the packing slip included with the order.
- Gift Tag even without Message: If you opt for gift wrapping but don’t include a gift message, a blank gift tag will still be attached, allowing you to handwrite a message later if you prefer.
It’s important to note that gift messages cannot be added to magazine subscriptions sent as gifts. Additionally, some DVDs, CDs, and Print On Demand Books might require a bit more processing time if gift-wrap is selected, so plan accordingly.

Items That Cannot Be Gift Wrapped
