A friend of mine is expecting a baby girl.
Naturally, a handmade gift was in order for her and her soon-to-arrive little one.
The weather here has been incredibly gloomy lately. It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to snuggle up with a quilt and lose yourself in books or binge-watch favorite TV shows. While the thought of doing that all day is tempting, my rather judgmental cat would likely have a lot to say about it, reminding me of my to-do list and the precious “work hours” while the kids are at school. She’s a demanding creature, but I suppose she keeps me on track.

Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked… I decided to create a little onesie, similar to the ombre appliquéd onesies I’ve made before. This time, I opted for a doily ombre design to coordinate with a quilt I planned to give as a Baby Girl Gift.
