Say Goodbye to Wrapping Paper: Create Stunning DIY Giant Gift Bags

Wrapping large or awkwardly shaped gifts can often turn into a comical wrestling match with rolls of paper and mountains of tape. But what if there was a chic, reusable, and incredibly easy solution? Enter the giant gift bag – your answer to stress-free, impressive gift presentation for any occasion! This year, I teamed up with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and JoAnn Fabrics to show you how to make these fantastic, oversized gift bags, and to share the incredible mission of St. Jude. I used three yards of the beautiful Holiday Deer fabric designed by Madison, a talented former St. Jude patient, along with coordinating fabric from my stash and a wired ribbon from Dollar Tree to add a festive touch.

One of the best things about crafting a DIY giant gift bag is the complete freedom to customize it. Need a bag for a basketball hoop? A plush toy the size of a toddler? Or maybe a collection of smaller gifts for a family? No problem! You can adjust the dimensions to perfectly fit whatever treasures you’re gifting.

Before we jump into the simple steps, I want to share why this project is even more meaningful. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is an organization incredibly close to my heart. What truly sets St. Jude apart is their unwavering commitment to families – families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food. Imagine the peace of mind this provides during the most challenging times. Instead of financial burdens, parents can focus entirely on their child’s well-being and care. This vital support is made possible through the generosity of donors like you and me.

This holiday season, St. Jude has invited me to participate in their fundraising campaign again, and I am honored to help. My goal is to raise $500, but I truly hope we can exceed that and give even more generously. Last year, thanks to your incredible support, we surpassed our $500 goal and raised an amazing $1,060! Every contribution, big or small, makes a tangible difference in the lives of children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
