Embossed Elegance: The Silver and Blue Gift Card Box

For our first design, we’ll create a sophisticated and elegant gift card box with a touch of winter magic. This box utilizes heat embossing techniques to add texture and shimmer, making it a truly special presentation.

To begin, die cut two sets of the Vintage Gift Card Box dies from satin silver cardstock. The satin silver cardstock provides a beautiful, reflective base for our design. Carefully assemble each box using Bee Creative glue, ensuring all edges are securely adhered for a sturdy gift card box.

Now for the decorative elements! Take the Christmas Lights Vintage Gift Card Box Add-on stamp set and Let It Snow stamp set. Select stamps like pine branches, ornaments, and snowflakes from these sets. Using clear embossing ink, stamp your chosen images onto cardstock. Sprinkle silver embossing powder and a touch of green sparkle embossing powder over the stamped images and heat emboss to create raised, shimmering accents. Once cooled, use the coordinating Christmas Lights dies and Let It Snow dies to die cut these beautifully embossed elements.

To add color, use B02, B01, and B000 Copic markers to color the ornament and bow die cuts. For a truly custom touch, dye crinkle ribbon to match your color scheme. In a small glass dish, add drops of B02 and B01 Copic re-inkers to white crinkle ribbon. Wearing disposable gloves, gently massage the ink into the ribbon until evenly distributed. Use a heat tool to quickly dry the dyed ribbon.

Tie the custom-dyed ribbon around the silver gift card box. Adhere the heat-embossed and colored elements to the box using a combination of glue and foam tape for dimension. Punch a small hole at the top of the ornament and thread baker’s twine through it, along with a snowflake die cut. Tie these to the ribbon bow for added charm. Finally, embellish the box with coordinating pearls from the Winter Pearl Stickers set to complete this elegant design.

Patterned Paper Fun: The Festive Red and Green Gift Card Box

Our second gift card box design embraces the festive spirit with patterned paper and a touch of rustic charm. This version is quicker to assemble while still delivering a beautifully handmade presentation.

Begin by selecting patterned paper from the Holiday Wishes paper pad. Die cut a rectangle from this paper using the rectangle die in the Christmas Lights Add-on set. Next, die cut leaves and berries from colored cardstock using dies from the Lovely Layers: Candy Cane Honey Cuts set.

For a snowy effect, apply Snowfall Grit Paste to the edges of the die-cut leaves and set them aside to dry. Dye crinkle ribbon using Tart Cranberry Distress Mica Stain for a rich red hue. Spray the stain onto the ribbon, wearing disposable gloves and holding it with reverse tweezers while drying with a heat tool.

Stamp festive sentiments from the Mini Messages: Holiday stamp set in matching red ink and cut them out using the coordinating Mini Messages Banners dies. Assemble the second gift card box from the Vintage Gift Card Box dies, similar to the first box. Adhere the patterned paper rectangle to the front of the box. Tie the red-dyed ribbon around the box and attach the grit paste-covered leaves and berries. Finally, adhere the sentiment banner with foam tape strips for a dimensional finish.

These charming Vintage Gift Card Boxes are generously sized to hold not only a gift card but also a delightful handful of candy kisses or other small treats! They are perfect to have on hand for those moments when you need a thoughtful last-minute gift.
