Metroparks Toledo, in partnership with the Metroparks Toledo Foundation, is excited to introduce a new initiative designed to make the popular Ribbon at Glass City Metropark accessible to everyone in our community. The Gift Ribbon Fund, officially named the Sammy Mo Molnar Gift Ribbon Fund, aims to remove financial barriers, ensuring all Lucas County residents can experience this fantastic park attraction, regardless of their personal circumstances. This program is made possible through a collaboration with the Metroparks Toledo Foundation and Signature Bank.
How the Gift Ribbon Fund Works
This community-focused Gift Ribbon program is designed so that every visitor to The Ribbon at Glass City Metropark becomes a change maker. A percentage of all skating proceeds will be directly allocated to the Sammy Mo Molnar Gift Ribbon Fund. These funds will then be used to cover the costs of rental equipment for children and families who might otherwise be unable to participate in skating activities. The program will extend skating opportunities to community groups, school programs, and non-profit organizations through these resources, offering a range of low-cost or no-cost programs and special events.

Once your Sammy Mo Molnar Gift Ribbon Fund Skating Pass is approved, using it is simple. Just present your free skate pass at the reservation windows or the main counter inside Market Hall to collect your rental equipment and admission pass.

There are multiple ways to support the Sammy Mo Molnar Gift Ribbon Fund and help ensure its continued success in providing access to The Ribbon for everyone.
You can contribute by:
- Skating at The Ribbon! A portion of the revenue from admissions and equipment rentals during both summer and winter activities will directly support the Sammy Mo Molnar Gift Ribbon fund.
